Jakarta, June 4 2025 – In the spirit of supporting digital transformation and empowering the economy of the community, PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART), through the Teman Pintar Indonesia program, is once again holding a series of educational and inspirational activities in several regions of Indonesia. Emphasizing the value of cross-sector collaboration, these activities involve students, university students, and MSME actors with various themes, ranging from the Content Creator Academy to MSME training based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
This program is a flagship CSR initiative from XLSMART that focuses on digital literacy, education, and community mentoring, particularly for the younger generation and micro-entrepreneurs. By collaborating with local governments, academics, business actors, and local communities, this program is expected to foster the growth of a creative generation and resilient MSMEs in the digital economy era. A series of Teman Pintar Indonesia activities have taken place in several regions in Indonesia, such as in West Bandung Regency and Garut, West Java. Then in Boyolali and Sragen, Central Java, up to Blitar and Batu, East Java.
Director & Chief Regulatory Officer of XLSMART, Merza Fachys, shared his strategic views on the role of synergy in supporting the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. The Teman Pintar Indonesia program from XLSMART has provided a series of workshops that will run until June 2025. For the Content Creator Academy 2025, the activities will be held in 10 cities including Blitar, Boyolali, West Bandung, Indramayu, Serang Regency, Pringsewu, Malang Regency, Gresik Regency, Tegal, and Banda Aceh. Meanwhile, for UMKM Naik Kelas 2025, workshops will visit 10 cities including Cilacap, Sragen, Kota Batu – Malang, Garut, Bandar Lampung, Majalengka, Yogyakarta, South Tangerang, Pontianak, and Makassar. This program also features digital smart classes at Universitas Nasional Jakarta on June 13, 2025, and at SMA Insan Kamil, Bogor on June 18, 2025, to ensure the broader benefits of digital literacy that can open opportunities and enhance competitiveness in the digital economy era.
Content Creator Academy: Inspiring the Youth in West Bandung, Boyolali, and Blitar
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, two cities, Boyolali and Blitar, witnessed the enthusiasm of the younger generation in exploring the world of content creation. Titled "Secrets to Success as a Young Content Creator!", this Content Creator Academy event was attended by hundreds of participants from various high schools and universities.
In Boyolali, Central Java, the event held at the MTsN 1 Boyolali Hall was attended by around 50 participants from four schools: MTsN 1 Boyolali, MTsN 9 Boyolali, SMPN 1 Andong, and SMPN 2 Andong. Meanwhile, in Blitar, East Java, the event held at Taman Djajang Aliza, Sananwetan Blitar, targets junior and senior high school students as well as university students from the Islamic University of Blitar (UNISBA).
Head of Corporate Communications & CSR XLSMART, who is also the program mentor, Dani Miftahul Akhyar, stated that Teman Pintar Indonesia serves as a real solution for the younger generation to utilize digital technology wisely and productively.
"This program is designed to equip the younger generation with basic skills in creating educational, positive, and relevant creative content. This is an important step to support digital creativity, which is a crucial pillar of national development in the era of information technology," Dani stated.
The event in Boyolali was officially opened by the Andong District Head, Bambang Suratno, and attended by the Head of MTsN 1 Boyolali Madrasah, Arif Hanafi, as well as the Leader of the XLSMART Community Boyolali, Ardhiana Iffa Farida. Meanwhile, in Blitar, the opening of the event was conducted by the Chairman of the XLSMART Community Blitar, Minto Santoso.
Also present were representatives from the Indonesia Content Academy in Boyolali, Aimar Milanesta, content creator practitioners from the TDA Blitar Community, Maftuch Yudistira, and Yufi Susanto, who shared practical experiences on strategies for building personal branding, understanding digital platforms, and techniques for creating engaging content.
UNISBA Blitar representative, Hesti Puspitasari, believes that this initiative is a tangible manifestation of XLSMART's concern for the younger generation. She greatly appreciates this activity. Good digital literacy is key for the younger generation to utilize technology for positive purposes, he said.
As a form of appreciation, the three best participants in Boyolali and Blitar each received a cash prize of Rp3,000,000. This is expected to serve as motivation for the younger generation to be even more enthusiastic about creating positively in the digital era.
On Monday, (6/2), a similar event was also held at the Cikalongwetan District Hall, West Bandung. This event also commemorates the 18th anniversary of West Bandung Regency. With the theme "From Idea to Action in Content Creation," the participants are equipped with skills to create creative content that can be used to promote the region's potential through social media.
The activities in West Bandung also involved various parties, including the Head of the Regional Archives and Library Service of West Bandung Regency, Heri Partomo, and the Cikalong Wetan District Head, Dadang A. Sapardan. In addition to content creation training by Candra Kirana (Cankir), participants were also introduced to MOCN (Multi Operator Core Network) technology from Smartfren, which will support content creation experiences with better internet quality.
This series of activities will continue on June 16, 2025, with advanced material on content distribution strategies and personal branding in the digital world.
Teman UMKM: Encourage MSMEs in Garut, Sragen, and Batu to Level Up Through AI and Digitalization
In addition to focusing on the younger generation, XLSMART also pays special attention to empowering MSMEs. Through the Teman UMKM Naik Kelas program, the XLSMART Community in Sragen and Batu City organizes practical training on branding and content creation based on AI technology.
In Sragen, this training took place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the SIKK Building Hall. The Deputy Regent of Sragen, H. Suroto, attended the event in person to open it and expressed appreciation for XLSMART's consistency in supporting MSMEs.
"The Teman UMKM program is a real example of collaboration between the local government, the private sector, and the community. We hope that the MSME actors in Sragen can take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their competitiveness," said H. Suroto.
Dani Miftahul Akhyar reiterated that cross-sector synergy is key in encouraging MSMEs to level up.
The training in Sragen featured a digital marketing professional, Nariswari Setya Dewi, B.Sc, who explained practical ways to utilize AI like ChatGPT to accelerate the content creation process. Leader of the XLSMART Community Sragen and owner of the UMKM DuCrija Snack, Anik Purwanti, explained her hope that UMKM actors become more tech-savvy.
Meanwhile, in Batu City itself, a similar training was also held on Saturday, (5/31), attended by around 50 SMEs from various sectors in Batu and Malang Raya. This activity will continue until June 2025 in the form of intensive mentoring.
Also present at this event were several expert practitioners who shared their knowledge with the participants, such as the Head of PLUT KUMKM Batu City, Yossi Hendrawan Saraswanto, Digital Strategist, Selamet Hariadi, who explained targeted branding and marketing strategies, and the Leader of the Smartfren Community Batu City, Endrita Agung Wicaksono, who emphasized the importance of purpose branding. Also present was a representative from Smartfren, Andy Anggoro, who introduced various digital solutions relevant for MSMEs.
Through the four activities held in Boyolali, Blitar, Sragen, and Batu, XLSMART demonstrates its commitment to supporting the growth of Indonesia's digital economy. In addition to those two cities, a similar training session was also held in Garut, West Java, on (6/2) at Citi Mall Garut City. Carrying the theme "Building Brand Story Through Journaling," this event features journaling expert, Rina Faridah. Through this training, MSME actors in Garut gain insights into journaling techniques to enhance the quality of their product brand stories, enabling them to compete and expand more broadly.
At the event in Garut, the Head of the Industry and Trade Office of Garut Regency, Ridwan Effendi, was present and expressed appreciation for the Teman UMKM Naik Kelas program. He hopes that this activity will continue and can enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in Garut. A similar sentiment was expressed by the Chairperson of the Garut UMKM Association, Leni Gunaya, who believes that this journaling activity can open new horizons for UMKM practitioners. This workshop will be followed by an MSME competition and video content creation on June 9, 2025.
