CEO Rajeev Sethi Unveils XLSMART’s Corporate Identity: "Bersama, Melaju Tanpa Batas"

Bandung, 28 April 2025 – PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (“XLSMART” or “IDX: EXCL) today marks its official establishment as a unified telecommunications entity, born from the legal consolidation of PT XL Axiata Tbk, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk, and PT Smart Telecom. This landmark moment signifies the beginning of a bold new chapter in Indonesia’s digital era, with XLSMART poised to redefine connectivity, drive innovation, and elevate customer experience across the archipelago — including West Java, Central Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This area is one of the company's priorities as it is known to be the largest telecommunications market in Indonesia.

 

The President Director & CEO of XLSMART, Rajeev Sethi, conveyed this during an event held in Bandung today (April 28), "The establishment of XLSMART is a strategic step to realize our vision of connecting the people of Indonesia in a more inclusive and sustainable way. West Java, Central Java, and DIY is a key priority for us, not only because of its large number of users, but also due to its potential to drive the acceleration of the national digital economy“.

 

Following the merger, XLSMART focus on expanding its network coverage and service distribution in this region. Through the integration of the two distribution channels from XL Axiata and Smartfren, we strengthen our presence across all cities and regencies in West Java, Central Java, and Special Region of Yogyakarta — from city centers to suburban and rural areas.

 

XLSMART also reaffirms its commitment to maintaining and growing its three main brands — XL, AXIS, and Smartfren — in order to serve three different market segments more effectively. With a relevant and competitive product segmentation strategy, customers in this region can enjoy flexible service packages with large data quotas, affordable prices, access to popular digital platforms, and additional digital service bonuses.

 

With a robust and expanding backbone infrastructure, including mobile networks and fiber optics, we continue to advance the development of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Fixed Broadband (FBB) services," stated Rajeev. He further emphasized that XLSMART has made substantial investments in the expansion of its 4G network and the implementation of automated network technologies to ensure a more stable and reliable service performance across the region.

 

In West Java, Central Java, and Special Region of Yogyakarta, XLSMART is also actively building partnerships with local governments, educational institutions such as schools and universities, and local SMEs to strengthen a more equitable and sustainable digital transformation.
