Makassar, June 19, 2025 – PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) is once again running a community-based empowerment program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the Teman Pintar Indonesia program. The activities spearheaded by the XLSMART Community include digital marketing/business workshops and competitions for Teman UMKM (the term for MSMEs fostered by XLSMART), held twice consecutively in Makassar and attended by 50 MSMEs.
Head of Corporate Communications & CSR XLSMART, Dani Miftahul Akhyar, who is also the supervisor of this activity, said, “The workshop in Makassar aims to promote digital literacy among MSME entrepreneurs, particularly in terms of integrated digital content-based promotion strategies. In this online era, the utilization of digital platforms is crucial for MSMEs to keep up in the market competition.”
Dani added that XLSMART has so far nurtured 4,621 Teman UMKM in 51 cities/regencies nationwide. We are committed to consistently facilitating digital learning for Teman UMKM through various workshops and coaching programs until it has a tangible impact on the improvement of their businesses.
The Teman UMKM workshop held in Makassar was conducted twice, on June 9, 2025, at Kedai Mantao with the theme: "Permits Are Not Just Formalities: Legality as a Promotion Strategy for MSMEs to Level Up," featuring Farhan Ananda Ramadhan, a MSME mentor, as the main speaker. This session discussed the importance of business legality as part of a business development strategy.
Then the second workshop was held on June 15, 2025, at Nutrihub Makassar with the theme: "Just Go Digital First: Convergence of Promotional Content for MSMEs To Don't Get Left Behind." This workshop was led by academics and practitioners from Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM), namely Dr. Aris Baharuddin, S.Pd., M.AB, Lecturer in Business Administration at UNM & Founder of Arista Amanah, Fatimah Akbal, S.Pd., M.Pd, Lecturer in Business Administration at UNM, and Dr. Syarifuddin, S.Sos., M.AP, Lecturer in Business Administration at UNM.
Leader of the XLSMART Community Makassar, Indah Febriany explained, "During the workshop, participants were equipped with knowledge and practical skills in building a brand, creating content strategies, and reaching a wider market through digital channels."
