Surabaya, 14 Juli 2025. Employees of PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART), through Majelis Ta'lim XLSMART (MTXLSMART), held the "Gebyar Muharram 1447 H" program under the themes #GebyarBerbagi and #BersamaDiMuharram. This program is held annually in several cities throughout Indonesia. This year, XLSMART employees distributed donations in 10 cities, including Makassar and Surabaya. The donations included food packages, school supplies, and cash in Restu Ilahi Orphanage, Makassar, on Tuesday (8/7), while in Surabaya, East Java, the donation took the form of an Educational Tourism Program in collaboration with the Nurul Hayat Foundation, bringing 35 orphans to The Grand Taman Safari Prigen, East Java, on Wednesday (9/7).
Attending the event, Head Trade & Channel XLSMART East Region, Fendy Andrianto representing Majelis Ta’lim XLSMART, Head of Sales XLSMART Malang–Jember Area, Deri Puspita Yani, People Management & Analityc XLSMART, Bongbong Asmarawan and representatives from Nurul Hayat Foundation. Meanwhile in Makassar was attend by Territory Sales XLSMART Makassar area, Adam Amran Achmad and representatives of Majelis Taklim XLSMART Makassar.
Regional Group Head XLSMART East Region, Dodik Ariyanto, stated, “The month of Muharram represents not only the start of the Islamic calendar year, but also an opportunity to strengthen our faith and renew our commitment to values of goodness and justice. Let us commemorate this great month by thankfulness, social awareness, and unity. We are grateful to be able to celebrate Gebyar Muharram this year with a renewed sense of sharing and compassion. We seek to alleviate the strain on families and promote joy throughout this holy month of Muharram 1447H by organising mass circumcision events, movie screenings for orphans, educational tourism, and donation distribution.”
Dodik added that the program aims to foster unity and compassion within the community while supporting those in need. XLSMART invites everyone to participate, whether as volunteers or donors. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference to those in need. The “Gebyar Muharram 1447 H” program is held in other cities including Medan, Palembang, Bandung, Banten, Banjarmasin, Cirebon, and Jakarta.
The Semarak Muharram 1447H program, including #GebyarBerbagi and #BersamaDiMuharram, is funded by zakat and charity donations collected monthly from XLSMART employees and management. These funds are managed by MTXLSMART and allocated to their intended beneficiaries. Aside from this initiative, MTXLSMART has frequently conducted social contribution programs in past years, including the construction of bridges, water sources, energy access, water depots, blood donations, home repairs, road construction, and mosque development in various regions.
