Cilacap, June 4, 2025 – PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) continued to implement its community-based empowerment programme for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as part of the Teman Pintar Indonesia initiative. The XLSMART Community-driven programme involves a series of digital marketing/business workshops and competitions for "Teman UMKM" (XLSMART-supported MSMEs) held in several regions over successive sessions.
Dani Miftahul Akhyar, Head of Corporate Communications & CSR at XLSMART and programme mentor, stated, "XLSMART has supported a total of 4,621 Teman UMKM in 51 cities/regencies nationwide. We are committed to continually encourage digital learning for these MSMEs through various workshops and coaching programmes that have a tangible influence on their business growth."
The Teman UMKM workshop took place successfully on May 28 in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. The inaugural session was held at the Ahmad Yani Cilacap Branch Office Hall of Bank BRI, with the theme "Product Branding with Cool Content." Drs. Waris Winardi, MM, Head of the Industry Division at Cilacap Regency Office of Manpower and Industry (Disnakerin), opened the event. Key speakers included Rakhmi Dwi Agustin, an influencer and food YouTuber, and Jojo Paijo, the Teman UMKM Cilacap Coordinator.
In his remarks, Waris Winardi stated "On behalf of the Cilacap Regency Government and especially Disnakerin, we express our gratitude and support for this collaboration in the Teman UMKM Go Digital programme by XLSMART, which has been part of a consistent and ongoing CSR initiative in various sectors in Cilacap over the past 5-6 years."
Jojo Paijo, who also served as Chairperson of the Cilacap Teman UMKM Workshop Committee, pointed out, "This Go Digital MSME training will be held twice, the first on Wednesday (May 28, 2025), and the second in early June 2025. This event is part of the second series of training. The first series held from July to September 2024 and successfully helped dozens of MSMEs in Cilacap improve their digital business knowledge. Three top-performing MSMEs will be chosen as winners, each receiving a development grant of IDR 2 million. Furthermore, the best content producer among the participants will receive a smartphone from XLSMART."
