Pontianak, June 2025 — As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) once again held an educational and practical programme under the banner Teman Pintar Indonesia, in collaboration with Kibarnesia in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The programme aimed to help Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) "level up" in the digital era. The programme, "Branding Your Business Through Content," was held on June 3 and 10, 2025, at VidoHouse Pontianak.
Pontianak Deputy Mayor Norhasanah Bahasan presented her support during the workshop's opening on June 3, stating "I truly appreciate the synergy between XLSMART, Kibarnesia, and all involved parties in supporting MSMEs in West Kalimantan. This event provides both educational and practical potential for local MSMEs to explore their branding and storytelling potential through skilled digital content."
Dani Miftahul Akhyar, Head of Corporate Communications & CSR at XLSMART and programme mentor, stated, "Through this collaboration, XLSMART hopes to serve as a bridge for MSMEs to build a digital presence that is not only visually strong but also emotionally meaningful—because behind every local product, there's a story worth sharing with the world."
The event was met with enthusiastic participation, attended by more than 50 MSME actors from various sectors, eager to strengthen their brand identity and boost competitiveness in the digital market.
The Teman Pintar workshop included practical branding and storytelling modules led by three experienced branding and digital marketing professionals: Alwa Rerizia (Professional Branding Coach, Certified Digital Marketer & Content Creator, and Leader of Smartfren Community Pontianak), Nelly (Professional Business Consultant), and Oka Nurlaila (Content Creator and Head of Digital Marketing at Kibarnesia).
Coach Alwa emphasised the value of story driven content as an instrument of marketing for establishing emotional relationships with customers. Meanwhile, Coach Oka shoved participants to identify their brand's key principles and transform them into authentic, engaging content for their intended audience.
On the second workshop session (June 10), Coach Nelly led participants through hands-on video based content creation training, using examples from Kibarnesia's creative team. Participants received extensive training in scripting hooks, developing storyboards, and visual planning. Under the mentors’ guidance, MSME participants actively explored simple yet effective production techniques for their business’s social media platforms.
The spirit of collaboration was palpable during the hands-on session. Participants actively shared ideas, tried up new strategies, and provided beneficial feedback to one another. The workshop not only served as a learning platform but also fostered a connected and supportive digital MSME ecosystem.
