XL Axiata 4G Network, Ready to Succeed the 42nd ASEAN Summit Event in Labuan Bajo

XL Axiata has strengthened the network around all areas of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, with a total of more than 50 BTS including 4G BTS. Optimisation of network capacity and quality around Labuan Bajo, including the airport area, the main event location at Meruorah Hotel, several hotels around the event area, the media centre location and the main route along Labuan Bajo.

Labuhan Bajo, 8 May 2022.  PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) ensures the readiness of its 4G network to succeed the international event of the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, 9-11 May 2023. Various preparations in the field have been completed, ranging from capacity building up to data service network optimisation.  XL Axiata's 4G service will be accessible at 17 points, including Komodo Airport, Ayana Hotel, Meruorah Hotel, Media centre, Labuan Bajo Marina and Waringin Peak.

 

Regional Group Head of XL Axiata East Region, Dodik Ariyanto said, "XL Axiata's 4G network is now fully ready to support the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, while introducing data access services with the latest technology to the public, including foreign guests attending this international event. XL Axiata also specifically ensures the quality of data networks in a number of tourist areas that support this event, including Labuan Bajo Marina and Waringin Peak. Meanwhile, for Komodo Airport, XL Axiata is ready with 3 BTS, added Dodik.

 

In addition to preparing the Data Network, XL Axiata also presents a variety of products to support the digital experience of ASEAN Summit delegates, including starter packs with large quotas ranging from 15 – 180GB which can be obtained at all outlets in Labuan Bajo and surrounding areas.

 

Currently, XL Axiata's network for the entire East Nusa Tenggara area is supported by more than 1,600 BTS, including more than 800 4G BTS. Nationally, XL Axiata's 4G network has served more than 57 million customers with service coverage in more than 61 thousand rural/urban villages, 5,700 districts and 469 regencies in 34 provinces of Indonesia. 

 

XL Axiata's network strength is supported by more than 145 thousand BTS including more than 90 thousand 4G BTS, as well as a fibre optic backbone network that stretches for more than 130 thousand km, supporting data networks spread across the vast Indonesian Archipelago.
