Jakarta, 2 November 2023. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) through XL Axiata Business Solutions (XLABS) continues to enlarge its contribution in the development of digitisation in the rail transportation and manufacturing industries.

 

In early November 2023, XLABS established a strategic partnership in the implementation of digital solutions with PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek (MITJ). The collaboration includes reliable connectivity to support the implementation of digital solutions through the use of Information and Communication Technology to improve services for the community and support sustainable business. Through this collaboration, both companies will optimise their networks, infrastructure and technology to provide convenience for users of integrated railway transportation modes.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Chief Enterprise Business Officer of XL Axiata, Feby Sallyanto, and Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin as President Director of PT MITJ in Jakarta, Wednesday (1/11/2023). 

 

Feby Sallyanto said, "XL Axiata welcomes the strategic partnership with MITJ, which is in line with our focus to continue expanding digitisation as a trusted ICT service provider through XL Axiata Business Solutions. This cooperation with MITJ is one of XL Axiata's commitments to continue supporting digital transformation in various industrial fields so as to encourage the productivity of business people, while supporting sustainable development".

 

Feby added, through this collaboration, XL Axiata provides an IoT Connectivity network accompanied by a monitoring dashboard that can provide real-time visibility of usage so that MITJ can ensure device performance is always optimal. IoT Connectivity in the form of M2M connectivity will be used for connectivity between devices, sensors and applications used by MITJ. It is hoped that this collaboration can provide end to end solutions and realise the digitalisation plan that will be carried out by MITJ, especially for the needs of ICT solutions for the railway industry.

 

Meanwhile, Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin as President Director of PT MITJ stated, "PT MITJ and PT XL Axiata Tbk. want to realise synergy in the development of Information Communication Technology / ICT business in transit-oriented areas and railways to provide the best customer experience.” 

 

 

Digitisation of the manufacturing industry

 

The collaboration with PT SKF Industrial Indonesia is carried out in terms of developing digitisation systems, implementing Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and designing and implementing special solutions in the industrial and manufacturing fields.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Group Head of National & Strategic Enterprise of XL Axiata, Tri Wahyuningsih, and President Director of PT SKF Industrial Indonesia, Toto Suharto at the Indonesian Digital Industry Centre 4.0 (PIDI 4.0), Jakarta at the end of October (26/10/2023). 

 

Tri Wahyuningsih said, "We are pleased to collaborate with SKF as one of the largest bearing brands and manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Through this collaboration, XL Axiata Business Solutions will provide digital solutions through digitisation and IoT technology to support development plans and system design as well as the implementation of digital solutions, especially in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
