Vaccination Center of Indonesia Bangkit XL Axiata in Medan Have Injected Covid-19 Vaccine to 12,050 Residents

Since three weeks of providing services in Medan, Vaccination Center of Indonesia Bangkit (SVIB) has given injections of the Covid-19 vaccine to 12,050 residents. Until the end of the program period, SVIB will be able to administer injections to 20 thousand residents of Medan and its surroundings. This achievement is expected to contribute to the handling of Covid-19 and vaccination achievements in Medan and North Sumatra in general.

Medan, 1 October 2021. Since three weeks of providing services in Medan, North Sumatra, the Indonesia Bangkit Vaccination Center (SVIB) has given injections of the Covid-19 vaccine to 12,050 residents. A total of 266 residents of whom have even received a second dose. The vaccination program initiated by PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) took place at the H Adam Malik Hospital and in the Districts of Medan Selayang, Medan Johor, Medan Sunggal, and Medan Tembung. The SVIB program will be implemented for two months until November 5, 2021. This program is part of the implementation of XL Axiata's commitment to enter the age of 25 in an effort to Build a Digital Indonesia.

 

XL Axiata Group Head of West Region, Desy Sari Dewi, said, "The enthusiasm of the public is quite high to get the Covid-19 vaccine injection. In one day, we can inject a maximum of 700 residents, and the quota for one day always runs out. We are greatly assisted by all parties involved so that daily vaccinations can take place smoothly and safely, including from the Head of the neighborhood and Urban Village who regulates citizen registration for vaccination in the district.”

 

Desy hopes that by the end of the program, SVIB will be able to inject the Covid-19 vaccine to 20 thousand residents of Medan and its surroundings. This achievement is expected to contribute to the handling of Covid-19 and vaccination achievements in Medan and North Sumatra in general, Medan itself is the largest city in Sumatra, as well as North Sumatra being the province with the largest population.

 

The implementation of the SVIB Covid-19 vaccine injection received support from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), Medan City Government (Pemko Medan), H Adam Malik Hospital, North Sumatra Provincial Government, North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) and supported by other partners.

 

For people who want to take part in vaccinations at SVIB, residents can register online through the www.xlaxiata.co.id/indonesiabangkit  page with the provisions, among others, aged 12 years and over, Indonesian citizens proven by NIK, and complete personal data validation and verification of the health condition of the candidate for the vaccination participants. Prior to the injection of the vaccine, participants will undergo a physical condition check carried out according to health standards by the health workers at the relevant location. SVIB operates every Monday-Friday (excluding holidays), from 08.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB.

 

 

Vaccination for School and College Students

 

Through AXIS, XL Axiata also provides full support for vaccination programs for school and college students in 4 cities and 4 provinces. To date, the vaccination has given injections of the Covid-19 vaccine to no less than 11,200 school and college students.

 

(Acting) Chief Marketing Officer of XL Axiata, Alfons Eric Bosch Sansa, said, "The support for the implementation of this vaccination activity is a form of XL Axiata's commitment in supporting the acceleration of the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to young people, students and university students in various regions. AXIS is a product that targets young people, with the majority of users are school and college students. Our support for this vaccination program is also our concern to protect young people so that they can immediately get protection from the pandemic.”

 

AXIS hopes that with the acceleration of vaccination for young people, it will be faster for young people to be productive, creative and achieve achievements. According to him, the pandemic should not hamper the creativity of young people. For this program, AXIS collaborates with Muhammadiyah University in Bandung, Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin, IAIN Pontianak and SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta.
