Teman Pintar Promoted Digital Literacy, Reaches 2,640 Students and MSMEs in Four Cities

Jakarta, August 8, 2025 — PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART), through its educational CSR initiative Teman Pintar, organized a series of activities in four cities in July 2025. Teman Pintar recently presented a Leadership & Communications seminar for student council candidates from SMK Taruna Terpadu 1 (Borcess) Bogor on Sunday (July 27), as part of the school's orientation program (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah / MPLS). The event sought to encourage digital literacy and young talent development.

 

Dani Akhyar, Head of Corporate Communication & CSR at XLSMART, stated, "Teman Pintar is XLSMART's CSR program that focuses on digital literacy, education, and community mentoring, particularly for youth and micro-entrepreneurs. By collaborating with local governments, academics, business players, and community groups, the program aims to foster a creative generation and resilient MSMEs in the digital economy era. Teman Pintar Indonesia activities have taken place in several parts of Indonesia, including Tegal Regency, Pacitan, Jakarta, and Bogor.

 

Earlier, on July 3, 2025, Teman Pintar held a Digital Business Workshop for MSMEs in Pacitan. The program encouraged MSME players to leverage digital tools to manage and grow their businesses. Several topics were addressed with the goal of enhancing business revenue by improving digital business foundations.

 

On July 7, 2025, in Jakarta, XLSMART supported the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) and the Indonesian Librarians Association (IPI) in a talk show themed "Strengthening the Identity and Role of Librarians Through the Designation of July 7 as Indonesian Librarians Day," which was organized by the National Library. Prof. Abdul Mu'thi, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, and Prof. Aminuddin Aziz, Head of the National Library, opened the event. Held both offline and online, the event was attended by 635 librarians from across Indonesia. Head of Corporate Communication & CSR XLSMART, Dr. Dani M. Akhyar, S.T., M.Si, served as one of the keynote speakers.

 

Teman Pintar Indonesia held a series of activities in several schools in Tegal Regency during the MPLS period, including: SMPN 1 Kramat Tegal (July 15, 2025) with 300 participants; SMPN 1 Adiwerna Tegal (July 16, 2025) with 300 participants; SMPN 2 Adiwerna Tegal (July 17, 2025) with 300 participants; SMPN 1 Slawi Tegal (July 18, 2025) with 900 participants; and SMK Binus Tegal (July 21, 2025) with 100 participants. The program also seeks to improve students' understanding of the need of digital literacy in daily life and education, as well as help them comprehend the potential risks and adverse effects of irresponsible internet and social media use, such as the spread of hoaxes, cyberbullying, and addiction. Local government officials attended the event, including Dra. Nurhayati, M.M., Head of the Tegal Regency Communication and Information Office, and Tegal's Regent.

 

Tegal Regent Ischak Maulana Rohman urged all students to engage in appropriate digital behaviour for a brighter future. He praised the Kominfo Goes to School program, which is part of the digital literacy initiative. "The hope is that students are not only skilled at using mobile phones but are also wiser in selecting and verifying which information is true and which is false," he said.

 

Throughout July 2025, the Teman Pintar Indonesia program conducted programs in four cities/regencies, benefiting a total of 2,640 participants, including students and MSME entrepreneurs. It is envisaged that the benefits of digital literacy will spread to a wider community, generating new possibilities and increasing competitiveness in the digital economy.
