Jakarta, 14 June 2023. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) continues to seek opportunities and benefits from technology and digital-based solutions to maximize services for the industry. For this reason, XL Axiata is holding an event titled "XL Axiata Technology Days 2023" for two days, 14-15 June 2023, by inviting several leading companies providing technology and digital solutions. In addition, this event was also attended by several representatives from universities who have a great vision and concern for the use of digital solutions.
The Technology Days event this time has the theme "Reinvent Humanity" which has a passion to continue to expand the use and digital-based solutions through the technology of 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in supporting social life such as industry, education, smart cities, and others. Director & Chief Technology Officer of XL Axiata, I Gede Darmayusa together with Director General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Informatics, Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ismail MT opened the event at the XL Axiata Tower Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/6).
I Gede Darmayusa, said, "On purpose at XL Axiata Technology Days 2023, we are inviting technology provider partners and colleagues from universities because the telecommunications ecosystem in the future will be more complex. For this reason, the collaborative spirit between parties with an interest in digital solution services will further accelerate the development of the telecommunication-based digital solution service business in the future.”
Gede added, in the future telecommunications services must be transformed into digital-based solutions, not just connectivity. With this event, it is hoped that the telecommunication industry players will be able to explore more and more values. XL Axiata invites interested parties to participate and collaborate in efforts to create various digital-based solutions by utilizing the latest technology that can be utilized by the community to support social life.
XL Axiata, among others, cooperates with leading companies such as Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Telecom Infra Project (TIP), Microsoft, and Amazon Web Service (AWS). In addition, this event was also attended by higher education institutions both as participants and audiences. Telkom University will be an active participant giving a presentation on the topic 6G: Imagining Metaverse for the Future of Telco.

Meanwhile, from the university community, we wish they can contribute to provide input from each potential use case and make it a further development research, "continued Gede.
Also at the XL Axiata Technology Days 2023 event, an exhibition was held showing (showcase) the application of 5G, IoT, and AI for the needs of humanity (social, education, environment, energy, etc.). Several showcases referred to the implementation of smart mining, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics to meet the needs of industry and society. All these exhibitions were held in the Lobby of the XL Axiata Tower Building, and participants could see and try to get hands-on experience using digital-based solutions through 5G, IoT, and AI technologies.
Most of the digital solutions that have been developed by XL Axiata have been widely used in the industrial world such as smart mining, smart building, smart factory, and have even been implemented by the government, namely smart cities such as IoT-based smart street lights. Currently, XL Axiata has implemented IoT such as smart building, smart city, smart agriculture, smart fishery, and various use cases that are still being developed and researched at XL Axiata's IoT laboratory, X-Camp.
With the Technology Days 2023 event, XL Axiata also hopes to add insight to the participants, also from a business perspective it can encourage the technology and telecommunications industry to continue to innovate in providing digital-based solutions by utilizing the latest technology. In addition, it is hoped that in the future, activities like this can become bigger and more supported by companies, agencies, and academics so that they can be more attractive and can be participated in by all levels of society.
