Social Action of “XL Axiata Baik” Program XL Axiata Employees Share and Teach in the Area of Lake Toba

Simalungun, 22 July 2022PT. XL Axiata, Tbk (XL Axiata) held teaching and social sharing activities as part of the XL Axiata Baik program. Teaching and sharing activities are carried out by a number of XL Axiata employees in schools by providing education on the use of internet and digital facilities. This series of programs was held for 5 schools, including SMA Negeri 1 Girsang Sipanganbolon, SMP Negeri 1 Girsang Sipanganbolon, SMP Negeri 2 Girsang Sipanganbolon, Simalungun Regency, SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata, Toba Regency, and SMP Negeri 2 Muara, North Tapanuli Regency located in Lake Toba area, North Sumatra. The ceremony was held at SMA Negeri 1 Girsang Sipanganbolon, Simalungun Regency. North Sumatra. Thursday (21/7) and still in the momentum of XL Axiata Baik, XL Axiata also provided cash funds to the Orphanage in Balige, Toba Regency, Friday (22/7).

 

Also present in this activity, President Director & CEO of PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), Dian Siswarini, Chief Human Capital Officer of XL Axiata, M. Hira Kurnia, Group Head of XL Axiata West Region, Desy Sari Dewi, and Acting Head of Communications and Informatics Office of Toba Samosir, S.M.L Simangunsong and his staffs and community leaders. The social action of the XL Axiata Baik program shows the seriousness of XL Axiata as the fastest internet service provider for customers and the public. "XL Axiata is for Indonesia”.

 

President Director & CEO of PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), Dian Siswarini, said, "XL Axiata is committed to continuing to increase its contribution to society through useful and sustainable programs, one of which is through social sharing actions that have been carried out for years through company programs, including the XL Axiata Baik Program. This program is implemented in different cities to help people in need. Through this program, XL Axiata employees are not only focused on the work area but can contribute more to the country. Management also wants to create a culture of employees to care about the surrounding environment and hopefully this good thing can inspire and create domino effects for other good things that are useful.”

 

Dian added that the XL Axiata Baik social action program has been running since 2021, various activity programs have been carried out to help the community in various regions, such as the Indonesia Bangkit Vaccination Center (SVIB), donations, blood donations, teaching staffs, house renovation, road construction, mosque construction, procurement of water depots, bridge construction to internet access and laptop donations for the Islamic boarding schools and public schools. It is hoped that this program can continue to be “Existing for Indonesia” by providing more goodness for the people of Indonesia.

 

XL Axiata chose a location in the Lake Toba Region which is a developing area and a tourism target, so that the public can be educated about the development of the digital world that continues to grow to attract local and foreign tourists to come to the Lake Toba area. This teaching activity is given to students from an early age, so that they are internet literate and willing to learn about new things in the digital world.

 

The principal at SMA Negeri 1 Girsang Sipanganbolon, Sihotang, said, "We thank XL Axiata for sharing and teaching at SMA Negeri 1 Girsang Sipanganbolon, some facilities have been received by the school such as repairing school facilities, laptops, infocus and routers as well as package of 20GB free internet every month for 1 year. Hopefully this XL Axiata Baik program can continue to run and provide benefits for many people.”

 

XL Axiata also provided assistance in the form of school support equipment such as laptops, infocus and router as well as free internet package of 20GB every month for 1 year and cash funds for the H. Mohd Yasin Tambunan orphanage located on Jalan Mesjid, Lumban Pea Village, Balige District, Toba Regency. , North Sumatra.

 

The teaching activity lasted for about 2 hours, inviting students to interact through materials presented on healthy internet use, good social media, use of media to promote tourism potential, digital marketing and creative content. Employees who teach are XL Axiata employees who have expertise in their fields and the knowledge can be applied to the students to increase skills and inspire so that they can broaden the horizons of these students. The material delivery in this teaching and learning activity uses the fastest XL Axiata internet network.
