Palu. September 22, 2025 –  The Sulawesi Regional Final of the AXIS Nation Cup 2025, which included Makassar, Kendari, Palu, Gorontalo, and Manado, crowned a new champion. After an intense match from the preliminary stages, SMAN 2 Raha's futsal team won the Sulawesi regional championship title and secured a golden ticket to the grand final, which will be held on October 11, 2025, at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.

The regional final in Palu involved five futsal teams from various cities, SMAN 2 Raha Kendari, SMAN 1 Dungaliyo Gorontalo, SMAN 2 Bitung, SMKN 3 Palu, and SMAN 16 Makassar. These schools had already beaten hundreds of others from Makassar, Kendari, Palu, Gorontalo, and Manado before competing in the Sulawesi regional finals.

Mozes H. Baottong, Caretaker of XLSMART Sulawesi Area, stated, "We congratulate all schools who made it to the regional stage, especially the team from SMAN 2 Raha that won the golden ticket to the grand final in Jakarta. We are delighted to witness their fighting spirit and remain committed to supporting future generations to achieve excellence through this tournament."

Meanwhile, Sodikin, XLSMART Territory Sales for the Palu Area, emphasised that the AXIS Nation Cup is more than a mere tournament, it is a platform to cultivate young talent. "Through the largest futsal tournament at the high school level, XLSMART through AXIS strives to foster student athletic achievements while strengthening AXIS' bond with the younger generation, particularly in Sulawesi," he said.

Sodikin especially appreciated Palu's great level of excitement. According to him, this year's competitive atmosphere proves that student futsal is becoming more popular, and the AXIS Nation Cup has effectively become a highly anticipated event. "We are optimistic that similar activities will continue in the years ahead. We wish the team success in bringing glory to Sulawesi, particularly Southeast Sulawesi, in the upcoming grand final. May they achieve great success at the national level," he added.

Nationally, the AXIS Nation Cup 2025 involves 1,650 schools from 40 cities with a total prize pool of IDR 950 million. In addition to cash prizes, the best five players will have the chance of participating in an exclusive training program as part of youth talent development initiatives.

In addition to futsal, the event includes a dance competition and a chant and jingle competition. All participants face a strict selection process to decide the winners in each category, who are eligible for millions of rupiah in prizes, trophies, and certificates of achievement.
