Working and Learning From Home Continues XL Axiata Extends The Free Daily 2GB Promo

Jakarta, May 8th  2020. Following the government's appeal towards the community to continue productive activities at home, PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) has once again extended the implementation of the daily free 2GB (quota) program that has been running since March 18th 2020. This third extension is valid until May 31st 2020, with the option to extended again in adjustment to the government policy regarding social restrictions and the development of current situations and conditions.

 

Group Head of Corporate Communication XL Axiata, Tri Wahyuningsih said, “This extension of the free daily data quota is a form of support from XL Axiata to the government relating to the call to work and study at home. This service is also intended to support the acceleration of digitalization among students. Until now, the free daily 2GB data access has supported the learning process of dozens of universities across Indonesia. We hope that the community can use this service effectively and responsibly."

 

Furthermore, Tri Wahyuningsih explained that all XL Axiata customers, those using either XL, AXIS, or XL PRIORITY (XL PRIORITAS) cards, including XL Business Solutions corporate customers and XL HOME Wireless home internet users can take advantage of the free daily 2GB data access program by activating it through either one of the XL or AXIS applications, such as myXL, myXL Postpaid, or Axisnet. This free 2GB daily quota could be used by customers to access a number of applications or data services that would help support learning or work activities from home.

 

As applied before, the free 2GB daily quota program could continue being utilized by students to access a number of applications or data services that can help learn from home, namely, Udemy, Ruang Guru, Zenius, and Rumah Belajar. Also, including access to Kelas Pintar and Sekolah.mu, Rumah Belajar, along with access to the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs (https://belajar.kemdikbud.go.id/). Until today, there are 36 universities across various regions of Indonesia that have benefited from this free 2GB daily quota (data) to access portals for online lectures/classes.

 

In addition, to support work from home activities more comfortably, customers can use the free 2GB daily quota (data) program to access a number of applications from Microsoft Office 365 which include; Microsoft Exchange, Share Point, One Drive, Microsoft Teams, and Skype for Business. Subscribers can also utilize this free 2GB daily quota (data) to access the official website of The Task Force of The Acceleration Management of Handling Covid-19 (https://www.covid19.go.id/ ), along with the Covid-19 official information channel from the Ministry of Health (https://infinemerging.kemkes.go.id/ ) and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta website (https: //corona.jakarta.go.id/). Customers can also contact Covid-19 hotline numbers for free, such as, 112, 117,and 119. Also, customers could receive the benefits of educational information regarding Covid-19 prevention through text messages (SMS) from the Covid Cluster.
