Jakarta, July 8, 2019. The growth of digital technology continues to accelerate rapidly, while not everyone is adaptive to this change. The challenge for the majority of Indonesian women, especially mothers, in today's digital era is how to maximize the use of digital technology in everyday life. A collection of Emak Blogger (KEB) is a blogger community that contains women with different backgrounds who have been blessed with children or not. This community was founded on January 18, 2012, spread in various regions in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Solo, Lampung, to Makassar, Bengkulu, and other major cities. This later became the background of the creation of collaboration between the Sisternet Digital Literacy Class and the Collection of Emak Blogger (KEB) who were concerned with the advancement of Indonesian women through the use of digital technology today. The hope, the level of "digital literacy" of women in various regions in Indonesia will continue to increase.
Based on the latest data released by APJII in 2018, it shows that the penetration rate of Internet users in Indonesia has increased to 171.17 million or 64.8% of the total population and it is estimated that there will still be a significant increase in the following year seeing the massive growth of current technology. Internet penetration in urban and rural areas continues to experience relatively balanced growth. Meanwhile, still from the same data shows that internet penetration among housewives (IRT) in Indonesia has only reached 48.2%. This condition is a challenge for XL Axiata to continue to present solutions to all women, especially mothers in Indonesia, to be able to be adaptive in applying the development of today's digital technology into everyday life.
