Padang, 12 January 2023. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) collaborated with Andalas University (Unand) Padang to provide debriefing for 1,200 graduates to be better prepared for the world of work. Through XL Axiata Future Leaders (XLFL) program, no less than 1,200 graduates received exposure to various knowledge and skills that they can apply after graduating from college and starting to enter the world of work. The event which was opened by Vice Chancellor 1 of Unand, Prof. Dr. Mansyurdin, MS was packaged in a workshop format and took place at the Convention Hall, Andalas University, Padang, Wednesday (11/1).

Head of Sub-Directorate for Student Creativity Development of Unand, Dr. Eng Meifal Rusli said, "This activity is mandatory for all prospective graduates, because Unand is aware that this activity cannot be obtained in class, even though this is very important for students, especially those who will face the world of work.”

This workshop took the theme "Think and Act Like An Entrepreneur". Apart from XLFL team, also present as speakers were a businesswoman from West Sumatra, Lailatul Himni, as well as an XLFL alumni who is now working at the Ministry of Finance of West Sumatra Regional Office, Muthia Muharani.

Group Head of XL Axiata West Region, Desy Sari Dewi said. “The XLFL program has a lot of educational material that students really need to master so that they can adapt to the conditions of society in the digital era, including industrial developments which are also increasingly digital. Through this workshop, we teach the most relevant skills that can be immediately applied by graduates, most of whom will enter the world of work, whether they want to work in an institution, or who want to open their own business or even choose the path of community service.”

Desy added, the training material in question included the entrepreneur mindset, such as using SMART thinking tools in preparing future plans. The material presented in this debriefing is more practical in nature and can be directly applied by students after they graduate from college. The materials presented in the debriefing have also been successfully applied by thousands of students at various universities in Indonesia. Currently, they have successfully pursued their careers in many institutions, including government agencies and large companies, at home and abroad.

Through this workshop, XL Axiata also introduced the elearn.id platform. Most of the debriefing material presented at the workshop is available on the elearn.id platform. Apart from that, material on entrepreneurship is also available in Sisternet application, which is an application owned by XL Axiata which is dedicated to the goal of empowering women, including to support the progress of women-owned MSMEs.

"We really appreciate UNAND for giving XL Axiata the opportunity through XLFL program to provide this training. Some UNAND students are also participants or have received XLFL program scholarships and have worked in government and private institutions. There are also those who become entrepreneurs. It is hoped that there will be UNAND alumni who will be successful and become leaders and entrepreneurs who can make Indonesia proud," continued Desy.

Indonesian students can access XLFL education program through the elearn.id platform for free. Various materials for improving soft skills are available on this platform, which can increase students' knowledge and skills which are very useful for self-development. These materials are not widely taught on campus or formal education. Through this platform, students can get various courses on leadership, soft skills and career preparation.
