Share

Bandung, August 28th  2021.  PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) is committed to continuing to support the government's efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This time by targeting college students, the company also supports the implementation of the vaccination which will be held on 24-29 August 2021 at the University of Muhammadiyah Bandung. A total of more than 3,200 people are targeted to receive this vaccination.

Head of Youth Marketing Communication of XL Axiata, Randu Zulmi said, "The support for the implementation of this vaccination activity is a form of our commitment to support the acceleration of Covid-19 vaccination in Indonesia. We believe that this commitment can be realized through cooperation between various parties. By carrying out AXIS, we take part in the implementation of vaccination held at the University of Muhammadiyah by targeting college and school students."

It is estimated that during 6 days of vaccination, the total recipients of this vaccine will reach more than 3,200 people with an age range of 14 to 35 years. This vaccination was realized thanks to the collaboration between XL Axiata, University of Muhammadiyah Bandung, and Play99ers Radio. The city of Bandung is one of the focuses of the vaccine distribution area, considering the number of schools and universities scattered in this city.

AXIS as a youth brand has the spirit to support the creativity of the younger generation in their work even though they are still in the midst of a pandemic situation. Therefore, we really hope that this vaccination can be a door for more people to receive vaccination, especially from among the students.

"Given that we are still in a pandemic situation, we also urge all vaccination recipients to adhere to health protocols. Remind each other to friends and family who have not received vaccination yet,” explained Randu Zulmi further.

Regarding support for the acceleration of vaccination, for four months from March 22 to July 23, 2021, XL Axiata in collaboration with RSUI, Depok City Government, and ILUNI has succeeded in organizing the Indonesia Bangkit Vaccination Center program for the general public. No less than 60 thousand residents have taken advantage of this facility. The same vaccination program is currently being pursued in several cities outside Java, of course, with the hope of accelerating the creation of herd immunity throughout Indonesia.
