Share

Banjarmasin, September 13th 2021. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) is committed to continuing to support the government's efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This time by targeting college and school students, the company supports the implementation of vaccinations which will be held in stages in six cities from the end of August to November 2021. To date, more than 5,200 people have received vaccinations in Bandung, West Java and Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. This support will continue in several other cities in Indonesia.

(Act) XL Axiata's Chief Marketing Officer, Alfons Eric Bosch Sansa said, "The support for the implementation of this vaccination activity is a form of our commitment to support the acceleration of Covid-19 vaccination in Indonesia. We believe that this commitment can be realized through cooperation between various parties, including the private sector. By carrying out AXIS, we take part in the implementation of vaccinations that are held in various cities targeting college and school students”.

It is targeted that the total recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine in the two cities will reach more than 5,200 people, with an age range of 14 to 35 years old. This vaccination was realized thanks to the collaboration between XL Axiata and local governments, universities, and local media in Bandung City and Banjarmasin City. The choice of the two cities in this program was based on the consideration of the number of schools and universities in each region.

AXIS as a youth brand has the spirit to support the creativity of the younger generation in their work even though they are still in the midst of a pandemic situation. Therefore, we really hope that this vaccination can be a door for more people to receive vaccinations, especially from among college and school students. Currently AXIS is also preparing to accelerate vaccination in several other cities

"Given that we are still in a pandemic situation, we also urge all vaccination recipients to adhere to health protocols. Reminding friends and family who have not received vaccination,” explained Alfons further.

Regarding support for the acceleration of vaccination, for four months from March 22 to July 23, 2021, XL Axiata in collaboration with RSUI, Depok City Government, and ILUNI has succeeded in organizing the Indonesia Bangkit Vaccination Center (Sentra Vaksinasi Indonesia Bangkit) program for the general public. No less than 60 thousand residents have taken advantage of this facility. The same vaccination program is currently being held in Medan City, North Sumatra, in collaboration with RSUP H Adam Malik, Medan City Government, North Sumatra Provincial Government, and North Sumatra Police from September 8 to November 3, 2021.
