Supporting The Mobility of Community XL Axiata 4G Signal Available in All LRT Lines

The entire LRT line including all stations on both the Cibubur and Bekasi crossings are all served by XL Axiata's 4G network. Currently, both LRT routes are served by more than 2,300 4G BTS.

Jakarta, 6 July 2023. One of the new modes of transportation, Light Rail Transit or Lintas Rel Terpadu (LRT), which connects Jakarta with the surrounding buffer cities will soon be operational, certainly thousands of people will take advantage of this mode of transportation. Seeing this condition, PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) ensures that the data network is ready to serve the entire LRT line.

 

Head of Network Operations of XL Axiata Jabodetabek Region, Okrisimon, said, "We have checked the quality of the XL Axiata network along the Jabodetabek LRT line. So far, we can confirm that the entire LRT line including all stations both in the Cibubur and Bekasi crossings are all served by the 4G network. Thus, when the LRT is operational, XL Axiata customers will be able to access telecommunication and data services with good quality."

 

Okrisimon added, XL Axiata's network team will continue to ensure network quality and see the potential and needs of the community or customers who will use the LRT, so that overall XL Axiata's network is ready if there is an increase in traffic when the LRT is fully operational.

 

Currently, both LRT routes are served by more than 2,300 4G BTS. Meanwhile, XL Axiata's network throughout DKI Jakarta Province has more than 10,400 BTS with the majority being 4G BTS, in Depok City is supported by more than 1,400 BTS, while in Bekasi City and Regency area is supported by more than 3,600 BTS where the majority are 4G BTS.

 

To date, XL Axiata's 4G network has served more than 57 million customers with service coverage in more than 61 thousand rural / urban villages, 5,700 districts and 469 regencies in 38 provinces of Indonesia, supported by more than 147 thousand BTS with the majority of 4G BTS, as well as a fibre optic backbone network that stretches for more than 130 thousand km, supporting data networks spread across the vast Indonesian Archipelago.
