The Innovation Acceleration House (Reaksi) XLFL Strengthens the Vision and Contribution of Student Organizations and Start-Up to Society

In order to make a real and good impact on society and the environment, XL Axiata also funds the process of implementing ideas that focus on social projects.

Jakarta, 28 June 2022.  XL Axiata Future Leaders, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) has completed the Innovation Acceleration House (REAKSI) program. Through this program, XLFL trains active young people who run start-ups and student organizations so that their impact on society will be greater. There are 110 participants from organizations and start-ups in this three-month program beginning March 2022.

At the launch, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan, Dr. Mochammad Fadjroel Rachman, was again present as a keynote speaker at the program closing event in Jakarta, Saturday, June 25, 2022. In addition, XL Axiata's Chief Corporate Affairs, Marwan O. Baasir was also present.

According to Marwan, "House of Acceleration for Innovation supports the knowledge and skill development through interactive workshops and challenges based on a curriculum that has been designed based on research on the demands of group development. The REAKSI Awardees' zeal and commitment were put to the test over the program of three months by a variety of aspects and criteria. In order to make a real and good impact on society and the environment, XL Axiata also funds the process of implementing ideas that focus on social projects.”

Marwan continued, the implementation of the idea in question was carried out in several aspects of community life, namely, environmental aspects such as the movement to plant mangroves. Then, the educational aspect started to conduct, such as, sharia economics. The social aspect has also been running by with initiatives for rural villages and teaching, and many more. According to him, what was shown by the participants in the training has made XL Axiata believe that young Indonesians have a strong vision to contribute to society wherever they are through their work and various types of productive activities. This is in line with the vision of the REAKSI program, namely sharing, creating, and having an impact #BersamaXLFL.

As one of the pioneers of the "Organization Development Program" in Indonesia, REAKSI is designed as a training program for startups and organizations to help them improve their quality as a learning platform for young Indonesians. From 248 candidates, 110 teams have been chosen after a thorough selection procedure. Furthermore, four teams were chosen at the end of the REAKSI 2022 program that had successfully shown their persistence to develop and deliver the best innovations. Abroadening Indonesia was chosen in the organization category and Catika Group in the startup category as Best Overall Performance. Additionally chosen as Best Idea Implementation were Collective Mind in the organization category and Puna Indonesia in the startup category. The winners will then get cash awards as prizes to accelerate the development of their organizations and startups.

According to the Startup Ranking study, Indonesia is one of the 10 countries with the highest number of startups in the world. There were 2,345 startups spread across the country until April 11, 2022. According to XLFL, the number of startups and organizational growth will increase in the coming years.

 

The learning materials in this XLFL training consist of Business Acumen, Proposal Arrangement, Design Thinking, Digital Marketing, and Pitching Presentation. The teachers are experts in their respective fields. They are practitioners and sociopreneurs as well as professionals in national and multinational companies.

 

The REACTION materials are expected to answer the issues of human resource management experienced by organizations/startups, such as the ability to innovate and be responsive in seeing opportunities. They can improve their organizations and businesses or create an all-encompassing organizational strategy using the knowledge they obtained from the training XLFL program.
