Banjarmasin, 13 October 2023. In response to the ongoing haze crisis in South Kalimantan (Kalsel), PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) provided assistance to affected communities. In collaboration with Yayasan Benih Baik (Benihbaik.com), the aid packages distributed included masks, vitamins and milk. Head of Sales of XL Axiata for South and Central Kalimantan, Hurry Amar Sidqi, directly handed over aid to residents in Sungai Andai Urban Village, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan, Wednesday (11/10).

Acting Regional Group Head for Kalimantan of XL Axiata, Horas Lubis, said, "XL Axiata is fully aware of the urgency of this situation, and the impact it has on the lives of local communities. With air pollution levels reaching dangerous status, even requiring students to attend school from home, we at XL Axiata decided to provide assistance that could at least reduce the impact of haze exposure on people's health, especially children and the elderly. Therefore, we distributed assistance in the form of masks, vitamins and milk."

XL Axiata's efforts to provide assistance to the haze victims in South Kalimantan are part of the company's commitment in carrying out corporate social responsibility. The company understands the importance of helping each other in times of crisis and believes in the power of collective action to make a positive impact on society.
