Jakarta, August 5th, 2021. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) through XL Business Solutions signed a cooperation agreement with PT Suryacipta Swadaya to provide fibre optic networks in the Suryacipta Karawang industrial area. In addition, XL Axiata will also provide various business solution services that can be tailored to the needs of hundreds of tenants operating in the industrial area located in Karawang, West Java. The signing of the collaboration was carried out by both parties online between the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini and the President Director of PT Suryacipta Swadaya, Johannes Suriadjaja, Thursday (5/8).

XL Axiata's President Director & CEO, Dian Siswarini said, "This collaboration with PT Suryacipta Swadaya is very strategic and will provide business benefits for both parties, including our tenants and corporate customers. Digital technology-based business solutions have become a demand in all industrial fields, so the availability of infrastructure in the form of fibre optics is also a must for every industrial area, especially Suryacipta Swadaya is determined to become a world-class industrial area.”

Dian Siswarini added that through this collaboration, XL Business Solutions will also provide business solutions which include data center collaboration, fixed connectivity services (leased line, internet service, VOIP), mobile connectivity services (postpaid, mobile roadad, device bundling), and ICT services (managed services) that can be offered to meet customer needs. XL Axiata also hopes that this collaboration can support efforts to expand the fibre optic network to strengthen the existence of the data center business.

President Director of Suryacipta Swadaya, Johannes Suriadjaja in his speech said, "This collaboration is a form of Suryacipta's seriousness in realizing industry 4.0 by providing qualified digital facilities based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Seeing the growing investment and business in the IT sector makes us even more excited to realize Suryacipta City of Industry's dream to become a home base for the IT industry and data center, in line with the development of a digital park in our phase 3 ".

Johannes added that 2021 is also an important year in which Surya Internusa Group celebrates its 50th anniversary. Despite the current challenging situation, Suryacipta, which is part of the group, also celebrates this historical achievement by continuing to develop in providing the best services and facilities for investors and tenants.

In this collaboration, XL Axiata will build a fibre optic network that will serve the entire Suryacipta industrial area covering an area of 1,400 Ha with approximately 149 tenants/factories. In this area, there are currently various companies engaged in the construction, retail and FMCG, pharmacy, medicines, automotive, food and beverage, as well as IT and data center sectors. In general, most of the categories of potential customers in the region are large cross-border corporate tenants. If the XL Axiata fibre optic network has been built, tenants will have a qualified choice to use XL Axiata's network, both as the main link and as a replacement.

In particular, several hyperscaler companies from abroad that will operate in Indonesia chose the Suryacipta area. For the IT industry sector, including data center providers, the condition of a qualified fibre optic network is one of the important elements that ensures the business continuity. Thus, the existence of a new, prime, and protected XL network presents a proposition that is relevant to these needs.

The advantages of fibre optic offered by XL Business Solutions are protected network routes. If one of the lines is disturbed, it will be supported by another line. The speed of XL Axiata's fibre optic network is also very fast, which is around 5 micro-seconds per kilometer, so this will ensure the convenience of corporate customer needs and will help customers adopt technology to support digitization quickly and easily.

XL Axiata's next target after this collaboration is to be able to participate in building fibre optic networks in other industrial areas managed by Suryacipta Swadaya. These industrial areas include Subang Smartpolitan. XL Axiata hopes that the ability to provide fibre optic networks in various industrial areas will be one of the steps to realize the vision of becoming the #1 Converged Operator in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, XL Axiata's Chief Enterprise & SME Officer, Feby Sallyanto said that multi-sectoral industrial collaboration is the key that determines the success of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the national economic recovery in 2021. According to him, the knowledge and human resources base of all parties involved in its scope will generate added value not only across industries, but also at the local, regional, national and global levels.

"Integrating the use of excellent connectivity networks, superior trade area management, and relevant applied technology will open a new chapter in strengthening the digital ecosystem in Indonesia," continued Feby.

Along with fibre optic network development that XL Axiata continues to do, XL Business Solutions also continues to develop enterprise business services through the latest solutions and innovations to provide the best service for all corporate customers.
