XL Axiata Goes To Campus Preparing Students to Face the World of Work and Technology

Surabaya, 8 December 2023. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) held "XL Axiata Goes To Campus - Early Career Coach" program at the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java. With the theme "Mastering Data Analytics in Telecommunications Company", XL Axiata in collaboration with the faculty and lecturers of FILKOM Brawijaya University, invited more than 100 students of Brawijaya University to open their insights in terms of the role of data analysts in maximising company performance in the telecommunications industry.  In addition, in this event XL Axiata provided career coaching material to students and new graduates, especially on Data Analytics career path as one of the most needed careers in the future.

  

Chief Human Capital of XL Axiata, M. Hira Kurnia said, "XL Axiata Goes To Campus program is a form of XL Axiata's commitment to developing students' talents and insights in facing industry demands, as well as demonstrating the company's dedication in shaping a workforce that is ready for the future in the telecommunications industry. By organising this event, XL Axiata and the faculty ranks of FILKOM Brawijaya University, hope that students can be better prepared to compete in the world of work that will increasingly rely on technology in their daily lives."

 

In this event XL Axiata presented speakers, among others: Head Talent Acquisition of XL Axiata, Aztia Pertiwi D., with the material "Find The Right Opportunities" which discusses preparation for entering the world of work which is more focused on developing soft skills.  Head Reward Management of XL Axiata, Rizaldi Baharuddin, with the material "Career Path In Telecommunication Company" which discusses information on how to work, culture and career paths in XL Axiata Company, and the third XL Axiata presents Data Scientist ACE of XL Axiata, Frans Nadeak, with the material "The Role Of Data Analytics in Telecommunication Company" which discusses the technical processing of data in telecommunication companies.

 

XL Axiata Goes to Campus is a continuation of Employer Branding program, XL Axiata Goes to Campus. Previously XL Axiata has held this event in Padang, Bali, Jakarta and Yogyakarta and in the future it will still run again to a number of campuses throughout Indonesia.

 

XL Axiata Wins CSR Award from Pamekasan Regency Government

 

PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata)'s sustainable social responsibility (CSR) program has again received appreciation from the public. This time XL Axiata received the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award 2023 from Pamekasan Regency Government (Pemkab), Madura as one of the companies that helped realise the development program in Pamekasan Regency which took place at Azana Frontone Hotel, Pamekasan, last Monday (4/12). 

 

Over the past few years, XL Axiata has run several CSR programs in Madura, including Pamekasan Regency, including the application of digital technology (IoT) among Mifathul Ulum Sekar Anyar Islamic boarding school (ponpes), which is in Pamekasan Regency, Madura. The purpose of this program is to encourage the application of digital technology among Islamic boarding schools (ponpes). In this program, XL Axiata teaches students to utilise Internet of Things (IoT) based solutions for maggot cultivation. Related to Digital Literacy, XL Axiata also provides digital training to improve the skills of the santris in the field of social entrepreneurship, training in the use of technology and digital facilities such as creating digital content, website design, IoT utilisation and cybersecurity, as well as the use of 5G.

 

XL Axiata also donated router equipment and free internet access for a period of one year through the GDK (Quota Donation Movement) program to support teaching and learning activities. Not only that, XL Axiata employees through MTXL are also very enthusiastic in providing support for this Digital Islamic Boarding School program. Support is in the form of employee’s zakat distribution to support the operational costs of education for santris in need.
